Here is an interesting video of what a woodworker can do when necessity calls.

Looks like that hand drill gets quite a workout. Looks like he uses it for his drill press as well.

Sure does ,Lew, and he uses a jig saw for the table mounted zip saw looks like.

Some of the people in other countries don't have access to all the tools we have, and they come up with their own. Also a good use  for the corded drill motor since most woodworkers use cordless now a days and the old corded ones just sit in the drawer.

You have to give the guy an "A" for being clever, not only for the sander but the DP and the scroll saw as well. That sander looks like it will be right at home in his shop.

We woodworkers are a clever bunch!

Speak for yourself, John. :( My name and "clever" shouldn't be uttered in the same sentence.

Don't sell yourself short! Haven't you ever built a jig to make a task easier or safer?

And frugal too. cheep cheep, said the bird. ( that means "yes" in bird language).

You speak "bird"?

For some reason that made me think of Charlie "Bird" Parker...   Thanks for waking up another brain cell. :)

My thoughts exactly Fred...I was amazed at his accuracy skills at the scroll saw as he cut out the sander frame
