February 2, 20179 yr Maybe this will do, for now.. Handle is Brass, a steel, threaded shaft. Steel cutter on the end.. Hails from Cleveland, OH.. Somewhere in an old tool box of mine, are a bunch of those cutters, all in different sizes... Inside of that "cone" is also threaded.....what am I?

I guess nowadays all faucets use a replaceable cartridge, so no more use for the seat thingy. I have my dad's old toolbox, complete with whatever tools and equipment were there when he last worked as a plumber. (Early 60's, I think) A bar of lead, oakum, sealer washers.... today's plumber probably couldn't identify half that stuff! John
