We've had lots of great information here in the Woodturner's Form this past week!

 

Member "HandyDan" posted some of his awesome inside-out turnings.

Member "Ron Altier" started a discussion about texturing a turning using a chatter tool (video). He followed up with a second post linking even a better video on using/making these tools. Here's one of Ron's first attempts using his homemade tools-

Member "Brad" posted a really nice photo of some socket chisel handles he made.

 

 

He also added a video on his You Tube Channel showing how these were done. 

 

 

Brad demonstrates a really neat way to determine the taper on the handle to assure a snug fit. Be sure to subscribe to his channel!

Thanks for the nod on the inside out thread.  Need to take the time and watch the tool steel comparison.  Brad sure did a nice job on those chisel handles.  Thanks for this weeks post Lew.

 

 

After watching Dan's tutorial I'll have to have another go at inside out. I haven't watched it yet but the tool steel video looks interesting. Another nice collection!
