Happy to hear that both of you are out of the hospital and getting caught up.

I really hope 2017 will be better for you and your family

Hope 2017 will be better for everyone....2016 was a dumpster fire in many ways....

Thank you, Chips N Dust.  I truly appreciate your comments.

Hope the two of you continue to heal and enjoy Christmas.

I hope you have a warmer day.

I want full blown winter...

not warmer...

I need to correct myself here.  I said that "WE" spent most of the month of November in the hospital.  I was not admitted, but probably should have been held in the psyche ward.  :P  I spent my time there with her, assisting the nurses who did not understand some things and didn't know about others.  So, what I meant is that I was only there in support of her.  But, I truly thank you for the well wishes.  The Good Lord has really blessed me with good health and I am so thankful.

Stick, our temperature here in Pensacola, about 45 miles east of Mobile, AL, was topped at 43.  And, the wind blew most of the leaves off the pecan trees.  On the next warm day, I'll mow to chop them all up.  Like Stick said, the cold will help kill some of the bugs which would be wonderful.  However, I'm not liking too much cold these days.

i may may have posted this but I took a cutting board I was making that didn't clamp up right and instead of trashing it, I made a round end grain board out of it.

and i I had two more of the Red Elm slabs that I cleaned up the edges and sanded flat to make cutting boards or serving trays.

I'll apologize for not being here the last couple of months.  We spent most of November in the hospital.  Well, my wife was in for a week and got a pacemaker at the end of that week.  Did the follow ups with the various doctors.  She was re-admitted for another week in the middle of November.  So, we are behind, but do have the tree up and decorated.  Some gifts purchased, none made.  Boo-hoo.

It is so great to see that others are able to get in their shops and make special gifts for family and friends.  May you be safe.  The hospital is never a good place to be, so please be careful in all that you do.

Sorry to learn about this Steve, I guess I somehow missed you two were going through this. Pray Ann is doing much better and you both are able to return to more routine activities.

You're right, hospital is no place to spend time...Since November 15, my mother has spent 33 days there with 5 in between in a Rehab facility. Glide path she may be released again prior to Christmas back to Rehab care...last couple of weeks, my brother & I try to alternate days taking my step-father to/from hospital and Rehab for visits. He only has missed one day of 38...this past Sunday due to extremely poor travel conditions.

Great to see you back...I'll try to get you an email out yet this week to catch up. Take care and best wishes to both Ann, you and family.

Looking very good!

Nothing but nothing.

I hope it's not too early to wish that everyone have a safe, happy, and healthy new year in 2017.  :)

Gerald, really nice job and I love those clamps.  Looking forward to see the completed project.

Great job,John on all the projects. Good save on the round cutting board. I go into save mode on a lot of my work, that is what makes you feel good when it turns from bad to good. I like your work a lot.

Gerald what a fantastic job on the chess board, I just got through drooling over your pictures on the gallery. It is by far the best chess board I have ever seen, you did such an excellent job on both the pieces, the board and the box. The box is planned out so well to accommodate all the pieces. You have to be proud of how well you did and the way it turned out. But then again all your work on your bowels is first class too.
