I'll have to remember that. We have a BIG problem with yellowjackets here, but most nests (in the ground) are taken care of by the resident skunks. About three years ago, however, the little prickers set up home in the wall of the attached garage, then moved into the space under a step to the man-door. I kept hearing a faint buzzing, but couldn't figure out where it was coming from. By the time I DID figure it out, there had to be 5 or 6 thousand of the buggers in there. They chewed through 3/4" cedar siding, a layer of Ten-test, two 2x6s, and the drywall. It took me a week to get rid of them all, and I got one sting that made my hand look like a baseball! John
November 10, 20169 yr I just use bee bop or one of the other types of wasp/hornet killers. Sometimes, you can't get close enough to the nest with the starting fluid unless you turn the spray into a flame thrower - then that does not work well around a building.

They got in through a bird block and some how got through the double top plate down into the wall cavity between the studs, this old house didn't have insulation, and they filled the space with their nest form bottom to top 8' hi. they had chewed out the drywall so just the paint was left, My wife found them when she was moving furniture and bumped the wall and her hand went through. Then they were in the house . took 3 different sprayings to kill them all and then had to tear it out and patch it after it was cleaned out. Herb
November 11, 20169 yr I went through two cans of wasp & hornet spray, and there were still more every time I looked! Finally took the Shop-Vac and just kept it running until the entire nest was gone. Plugged the hose after spraying in the last of the bug spray, and left them there for a couple of weeks. John

Herb Well I had trouble with that also when people started referring to me as an artist. Now I just go with it. Beats many things they could call me I guess.
November 15, 20196 yr I just use an old Squirt oil can with strait gas... Works great. If you get them in your house then sulfur candles work good.
