Here is one of my finer pieces. This was a bird house I made out of a piece of slab wood that had a hole in it where a knot had rotted out. The birds didn't seem to like it, not high class enough I guess and a big family of hornets took up residence in it. It was then I moved it a distance away from the house to not provoke a disagreement between us, being the peaceful sort of guy I am, and them being the unsociable lot they are.

Sounded good for the birds but I guess it just didn't work out.

 

You could probably take that bird house (without the hornets) to a craft show and get a pretty good price out of it.

That gets funnier as it goes along, I can imagine the hornets tagging along looking for their home. these were those little yellow and black with the wide stripe, mean little buggers too. HAHAHAHAA

Very nice. I believe they are right about it bringing $$. I see things like that all the time selling at shows.

Ironic,isn't it? if you take your time and put your best craftsmanship into an item, it won't sell but something like a crude piece of wood,goes first.
