Yes, John, the logs were out in the weather for a couple of years, so they were being rained on. The slab wood I brought home was stored in a dry open air storage spot before I got to them to resaw them. Then after I resawed them and ran them through the planer, they were stored in my shop for several months before I used them. I didn't have any idea what I was going to build with them, just that it would be something special. About that time I saw the Queen Anne Hi-Boy featured in either Wood, or Wood Workers Journal,and knew that was what I was saving the lumber for. Herb Edited November 7, 20169 yr by Dadio
