October 3, 20169 yr If you're like me and keep chisels in a drawer and also buy them at yard sales, they need a chisel guard. Here's a no-cost way to do it. Get an empty water or milk bottle (1 gal HDPE plastic) Heat the side with a heat gun. After a few seconds, the plastic will turn from translucent white to clear. While still hot, plunge the chisel tip in and turn it to cover the tip. Pull it out with the plastic glob on. With a gloved hand, shape the end to cover the bezel and tip. Let cool.
