I make live edge very heavy benches that most of the time has worm holes and lost knots. I would go broke buying timbermate. It take some $$$ just for all the glue I use...

    Yeah, Timbermate ain't cheap. It's not the best for large voids, either. I'd say it's cosmetic. Certainly not good for your application. BTW, your lumber inspector is kinda cute.
