I have all of my pictures entered into a Photobucket account.  It is free and was a life saver when the computer crashed earlier this year.  I lost everything in the computer but still have access to all of the pictures.

Gerald  I was using the Deal Dash.com for that price. Not really, I think they are too new to be on the market yet especially Deal Dash. It seems like the body is gonna be 3200.00  This will be a whale of a great camera as I read about the goodies. Too old for more cameras. I got started with the SLR's after I got to Germany in the Army. The Army PX over there had great bargains. Trouble was being a  PFC my pay a month was about 80 bucks.....before deductions like laundry and hair cuts and a few more things.

Ron you bring up a valid point in "what do we do with all these pictures we take with digital methods?" I have mine on 2 computers, 2 external drives and a thumb drive. So this is one more point we can talk about , but being methodical enough to do it may be another . Even when you put your once in a lifetime vacation photos into a program to fix some problems use one that creates a new file for the picture so the original is intact.

With so many slides and photo albums, I'm sure my film photos will never be moved to computer forms. My youngest daughter may take the time some day to at least decide which are worth saving. Today, her interests are African safaris.. Right now she is in South Africa on her 3rd trip, to shoot lions, elephants, hippos and anything else that makes itself visible. Shooting, that is, with her DSLR camera. Not really my cup of tea.

What is wrong and what is right in this photo?

Gerald, I just read this and was surprised that it was that bad.

Let this sink in: Since 2010, digital camera sales have fallen from around 120 million to 40 million units. The main reason, obviously, is that consumers can fulfill most of their photography needs with a smartphone. That leaves manufacturers a small, but profitable high-end market. Judging by what I saw at Photokina, however, Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, Olympus, Sony and Panasonic are all targeting that niche in different ways.

This may explain in part the fact that my new camera Canon T5 has more features , even movies and more MP than my 7 year old XSI had,but at a lower price. Even the price for lenses has declined. Part of this is technology advances and part due to competitive pressures.

As we have been saying there is more than one way to get there. One thing I am interested in is giving everyone is a grasp of making photos that will enhance the appearance of their projects. Even a 5 MP camera can do that for the web, which for us is the main thrust , unless we go professional or publish inwhich case they will not accept those photos.

I looked at several comparisons of iPhone 7 and 7s  vs Samsung 7 on utube. I actually think that Samsung is better. The only exception is a close up using the two lens of the 7s.  I was in the market for a new digital, however I am beginning to rely more on my iphone 6.

I still use my Sony digital when I want really good pictures.

I think this is the next thing in camera phones

I have over 40,000 pictures in my computer.

I have a collection of cameras. Some was expensive.

But the one I always grab is my Sony Mavica MVC FD200

that I bought in 2002 for $835.00. Just last week it quit.

I got on E-bay and bought the same camera new in the box

for $12.98. That put a smile on my face...

My light box is made with Naugahyde composite knit fabric.

It;s like a cream white color. Works great. I have many

different Variable-Color lights that I use.
