Test Sandbox (Satisfied and Closed)

a sandbox???

What for?

I think Stick wants a place to play, Gene! Either that, or he's been eating too much cat and has inherited some feline traits!

Stick, a Sandbox is an excellent idea, we could install it as a sub forum at the Network Tutorials forum, to try things out but not count. Let me see how we can make that work.

I went ahead and edited the title so we can track this suggestion.

Nomenclature. I need a guide to catch up.

Ya, it's modern day digital terminology for a test area, an area that can be edited and what not, yet the data is not recorded nor stored. It would be a "Safe Space" for Stick

Thanks, John. I'll leave the sand box to you guys. Don't like sand in my shorts, anyway. Besides, someone ran off with my little blue bucket.

Us TPW veterans would not need it, it could be helpful for new folks to learn how to upload images, format text, link text, etc.

I done shook out the sand along time ago with this software, but sometimes little things surprise me still!

say this vid by Alex Snodgrass is posted by someone... (we all know what it looks like to the membership)...

so how do I explain this...

there is no link for me to grab to work w/ because of how I see it... the link is usually in the vid's header and there are no headers in/on/with posted vids here...

if I have access to a vid link I can turn it into an MP4...

A screen shot of what I actually see...

Ok, I guess I am a little lost here, why would you want to convert someone else's video to an MP4 when all you have to do is view it on YouTube. Not trying to be complicated here, it's just that this is new territory for me. Thanks Stick!

if a posted vid has the YT header as this screen shot shows, the link to that vid is in the header,,,,
