The Oddest Events Happen on The Patriot Woodworker

Featured Replies

The Patriot Woodworker has some oddity's for sure, and while perusing the statistics of our community, I found one interesting statistic.

For Patriot Woodworker Mike Williams, please do not be offended by my statement Mike, because your Newel Post is a great piece of work, in fact the entire stair case you restored/repaired is wonderful.

But something as common as a Newel Post Cap, it sure is amazing that among all the work in the community, the most viewed image by far was and is, and has been for some time, his "Newel Post Cap"!  Now these are real guest and member views, not spiders or robots, our native stats here in our community do not count spiders and robots.

Come on really! A newel post cap!

Go figure!

Congratulations Dragon!

Well, you gotta admit, it is a nice newel post cap. Dragon does good work.

Many of those views are mine, from when inspiration is needed.

that is some impressive craftsmanship...

thanks for re-showing John...

True so very true, more for Mikes ego!

That newel post cap was a nice touch for a really beautifully built stairway.

Even though my comments were in jest, Mike deserves all the kudos for a magnificent job.

Folks, Mike is a general contractor and a craftsman, he has done some of the finest work on the Eastern Seaboard, his remodels are in-credible and his home restorations are tops. We go back a very long time he and I. Just wanted yall to know I was not picking on Mike, yet jabbing him in the ribs as we do often with each-other. Mike completely appreciated this thread on his insignificant little Newel Post cap getting the most hits over some of the most beautiful and complex work in this community. You just never know what draws attention from our visitors! Somehow, that little 6" x 6" square piece of wood garnered a ton of hits, Mike, you must have a lot of friends!
