June 23, 201610 yr Folks, does anyone know about the quality of Bulgarian tooling? My first assumption is that you get what you pay for. But sometimes you never know? I am in the market for some adzes, specifically bowl making adzes, and a Bulgarian supplier has a set of 3 for 100 bucks, but as I look through the higher quality stores such as Lee Valley, and others, one single adze can go for 170 bucks. Not being too familiar with this crude instrument the Adze, does quality really matter that much? I think the most important thing would be, can it hold an edge. Any feedback or knowledge on this subject is greatly appreciated. Here is a link of what I am looking at.
