Hello all.

Here's what I will be doing this weekend, making tops and other items.

This one is pretty much complete, It just needs a bit of sanding and finish.

I was hoping it was going to be a bit wider so that it might balance a bit better but it still should work. I'll try throwing it tomorrow after the glue sets and see how it does.

Hey Charles, what happened to our first image?

  • Author

I'm not sure John, I know it references an image with that partial link but that's coming from the TPW side. I guess I still don't understand how to get images to show without directly uploading them with the Choose Files link. I was trying to get it to show from the gallery.

Anyway, the image is there, it's the one that is displaying below the link.

I'll edit that bad part out.

No biggies, I was just curious if it was the community software or the user.

I'm not sure which it is honestly. I tried to provide the correct link from the upload to the gallery and that's what happened. It appears to be a broken link, but whether that's my fault or software, I don't know.

Go to image gallery, right click on image, "copy image link or location" then in your topic click on the button "Insert other media" then click on "insert image url". Works like a charm!

OK I wasn't sure how it was done since it didn't provide a link, I just copied what it had in the address bar which is wrong, it fails every time, which I don't understand.

Ya, you can't copy the address bar, because that also contains url data for the entire site, you need to copy "Image location" when you right click on the image. Copying the address bar is only going to copy the entire page the image is on.

yep no problems John, yea that's a mighty pretty top and it spins well too. I'll have to put a link up to my youtube channel for things like that.

OK here's another in the series of tops I will be doing. This I believe is walnut but I could be wrong.

And here is how she spins, Don't worry so much about the commentary, At the time I made this video I was trying to figure out why it refused to stand up and I guess that is because it was a bit top heavy.
