Working on another Custom Big Green Egg Table

Featured Replies

This weekend in the workshop we started on another custom Green Egg Table. This is one as the others is made from Cedar. The legs are full 4" cedar and have 4" casters on the bottom. I am making a solid top for this table since it will have two cabinets in the right side. The cabinets will allow them a place to store their charcoal on a full extension pull out shelf and in the other cabinet, two full extension drawers to hold cooking utensils and other items.

We got the top glued solid and the cabinets sides, back and divider installed. I am hoping to get this delivered this week.

Tonight I will be making the doors and pull out shelves.

Then the hole will get cut for the Egg to sit in and the finish applied. This is one large table, six feet long,, 30 1/2" deep and 34" tall. Everything on it is solid cedar.

Solid Cedar ? ? ? ? ?  I am definitely going to visit you and find out where you get all of this great wood, John.  Between Green Eggs and cutting boards, you need to quit your day job and go full time playing with ur wood.

272 Days, 10 hours, 10 minutes and 10 seconds and that is exactly what I am going to do Fred!!

So, John, the light at the "end of the tunnel" is starting to glow. It'll be here before you know it!

Trust me, you'll have less free time then.

Good on you, John

We should have a big party at your house.

Fred, I love a party, let's do it!

UR ON

You're so right Harry.  When you retire the entire world has a "plan" for your life.

Ron - you hit it right on the head.  Yes, my son is happy for us to take a month and visit some National Parks before the government closes them down again.  BUT - since you are going to be out here, how about visiting us for a few weeks and help us do some stuff around the new house ! ! ! ! ! ! !

It STILL beats working for a living.

Hey Fred; If you make it up to Yellowstone we're just 50 miles north,

Harry, thanks for the invite but we'r headed south from here.  Taking the southern route home.

the egg is being good to you.

 Good for you~!!
