October 16, 201411 yr I have watched this episode many times and I still love it. About a minute in is when the spotlight on the Moulthrop family begins, and what a family! I am amazed at the turnings the patriarch of the family created, and the younger is an absolute genus with his turnings. My favorite is the sticks in the bucket with epoxy he does, then turns the blanks to create these incredible multiple species turnings. Take a look at the video, and have fun. June 20, 20178 yr Thanks for sharing John. The Moulthrops did/do some amazing work. I think they pioneered several techniques that are commonplace now. Steve

Steve I loved this show featuring that family Steve. I was first introduced to the family through the PBS series Crafts in America just two years ago by the date on this topic. I was and am new to turning, and I had no idea elegant beautiful vessels could be turned that big till I saw this episode. I'd love to suggest to anyone to watch the entire series of "Crafts in America" by PBS, it's a wonderful series showing off our countries folk art and hand mades, and the people who make it.
