September 20, 201411 yr I finished the set of 12 crochet hooks and the stands for my wife. I missed my deadline of our 46th anniversary by a couple of days, but she didn't care. She loves them and is very happy to have them. I used many different types of wood from exotic to a few domestic hardwoods. The amazing part is that I only used old scraps from other projects that I saved. As you can see, I did a lot of gluing.
September 20, 201411 yr Those are really nice, Ron. After looking at one of my grandmother's metal hooks, I have nothing but respect for the talents is took to make these.
September 23, 201411 yr Ron I must say I am thoroughly impressed myself, these are really cool looking. I don't think I would do any myself because i don't have any customers (yet) that crochet. It might be an option later down the road though Wow those are nice I don't get how people are able to glue things together like that and get them to look so good. I try gluing something together like that and it looks like a 5 yr old did it, or worse LOL. Hey I have to poke fun at myself now and then right?
