February 6, 201115 yr Let's see.. 75 miles away from my house.  Not too far...but I worked Friday night, and got home at 8am Saturday morning. Back is hurting to the point I can't cough without pain.  Drive over to Columbus with no sleep? Nope. Been there, done that.  This weekend is between paychecks, so not much cash on hand.  Maybe next year?  Still repairing cars around here.  Blazer's starter went out.  Ordering a Transmission for the Caravan on Monday, about $905 out of pocket.   Need to schedule time at the local JVS for "lab" time.   My son is taking Auto Tech classes there.  Maybe I can have the students lean how to change out Trannies.   They have also fixed some other small stuff for me.  I supply the parts, they do the work, and learn how to do it, too boot.
February 6, 201115 yr Ralph,a LLC stands for limited liability corporation. I'm not sure how they work but I think it offers you alo of personal protection should something happen and you were to find yourself in a legal battle.
February 6, 201115 yr You're correct John. From what I know about LLCs, your personal property is protected in the case of a lawsuit whereas a lawyer could grab your assets as a corporation. I told Ralph to have his lawyer explain it. I considered an LLC a couple of years ago just after I retired and then it was about $100 to file but I suppose if you get a lawyer involved its probably 10 times that.
