I don't know why that is happening Larry, but your right, you can click on the image, and then click on it again and it blows it up to viewable size, but that takes away from the convenience of seeing them here. Looking good man!

The only other thing I can recommend is saving the drawing as a jpg, and if you have a choice to size, save it at 3500 pixels. Should up big here, I don't know how you would do that since I am not familiar with Canvas, it might not be possible. How about a PDF, can you save at PDF?

My Canvas Program will open to a size that would take up a whole wall.

I wondered why the images I posted were so small, so I thought if there was some text lurking way out there, which causes the images to be very small because it's trying to encompass the whole file.

I found it, way out there and erased it.

Here's another attempt to post larger images.

My 1995 Canvas Program does not support JPG or PDF.  I have to save it as a TIFF, go to Paint, open it, and do a "Save As" to the JPG.

All my other Canvas drawings that I've posted here open much larger.  I have no clue why this one opens so small.  I've cleaned out (found two) stragglers out in the right fields of the program and erased them.  This should have shrunk the image reqirements dowm to two vertical 8 1/2" x 1" pages.

Don't know why, so I hope you can see it well enough.

I see it loud and clear Larry! And I love em! So, when do we go to permitting?

Well, John..  How serious are you?

I think these drawings are complete enough that a builder could build right off of them.  I would recommend a 6/12 roof pitch.

He would get the Permit and approvals to use these plans.  If he could not get a Permit based on these plans alone, he would probably charge you a very small fee to get the plan details up to Code.

Larry

Serious in the sense that we are going to build in the not so distant future, it's just really fun to dream and talk isn't it Larry? I probably have another 5 plus years before we'll build on that mountain property. I do love seeing these plans though Larry, and your work is superb, I hope you have been having as much fun as I.

Thanks John.

Actually it's not too early go get some quotes, or visit your local Building and Zoning office to see what you need to do about the validity of the plans.  If they need further construction details, I can probably do that too.

Actually, I greatly enjoy doing design work.  It opens my mind (whatever is left of it) and allows me to be objectively creative, which also plays a very big part in keeping me "young."

FWIW..  I designed two new houses that we had built.  Both built right off my plans with no changes required.

Larry

Another try..

Well.  I got it a little bigger.  Later this evening, I'll enlarge the type fonts and add some specifications as I know them.

I might add a small roof over the front door.

Stay tuned..

Larry
