June 17, 201115 yr Ron really looks sweet. I'm sure Mama will be extremely happy with your efforts. Wayne God Bless our Troops and Protect them.
June 17, 201115 yr THanks John and Wayne. I ran behind today because I was fabricating a wire tray to hide the light wires. Right now I'm putting two 20 watt Xenon surface mount lights. I'm going to snake the incoming power cord through the crown moulding through an oak channel to the first light and then run the wire though another channel to the 2nd light. The channel will be tacked up with #4 brass screws so that if I have to add a 3rd light I can.  As for the computer, I had my Slacker radio on.John Morris said: It looks absolutely beautiful Ron, great job man!! Lighting? What kind and what's the wattage your using? The only thing I can think of that would improve your picture you posted, is if TPW was up on your monitor in the background! June 18, 201115 yr Well John2, and others.. You've all heard about "Payback." My next door neighbor makes sure my driveway is cleared out all winter long. He knows I'm not a youngster any more so he helps ole Dad out. Now, he's building a Bar in his lower level and I'm doing all the trim work for him as "payback." There will never be a charge.. Oh, maybe a cold ale or two, depending on how thirsty we get. The fist part of the project was to fabricate mitered "ends" for the Bar. These were made out of 1" x 4" Red Oak with mitered corners to make them look like solid timbers. And they do. Now working on 6 -  "Shadow Box" frames. Again out of 1" x 4" Red Oak. These will be located on the side and front plywood panels on the Bar, under the top, to the floor.  Last night, he asked. How can I ever repay you? I told him, "It's my turn." Images later, if you like.. Larry   Â

June 18, 201115 yr I second John's motion for pictures. It is always so interesting to see whats happening and the work being done. So if you wouldn't mind Larry, photos please Wayne God Bless our Troops and Protect them.
June 18, 201115 yr I agree with John2 Ron. Those photos would be a site to see. I also agree with John1 I really need to clean my shop and get it back into production mode. All those little projects wreak havoc and create so much dirt and dust. So my day off will be dedicated to shop clean up and getting things put away where they belong. I got the wood for the first of the trophies tonight so I will see about creating a blog about that. It's a simple fun project that has a huge profit margin involved so it should be fun. Wayne God Bless our Troops and Protect them.
June 18, 201115 yr Larry, I'm thinking your neighbor got the better end of the deal. I'll chime in with the others and say, "Where's the pix?" Ron DudelstonAbove and Beyond WoodWorks
