October 16, 201114 yr I'm using Red Oak. The cabinet is a Garret Hack small tool cabinet. It will end up in the master bath though as a medicine cabinet. I recived the shaving mug, razor and a brush that was my Grandpas and that my dad gave him his last shave with. It's not going in a box in the closet to be forgotten. I'll post pics every now and then. It has dentil moulding and a cornice, sliding dovetails and  half blind dovetails. There are at least 5 techniques and or joinery that are new to me.  Woo Hoo That means I might have to buy a few new tools. The goal of most of my projects is things I haven't done and don't have the tools for.John Morris said: Sounds like it was a wonderful weekend Mark, what kind of cabinet, and species? Oh saw Buddy Guy last night he had the most beautiful acustic guitar. October 18, 201114 yr No such luck, I was routing all the rabbets, and after the 3rd piece out of 10 my router decided to take a permanent smoke break. That's about the way all last week went for me. Oh well this one will be better .John Morris said: Getter done Greg!!!Greg Aksdal said:  John MorrisThe Patriot Woodworker
