Still had some saw dust under the tools cabinets when I move them so i clean that up. just trying to make life a little easier for them when they come. The electrician came this morning to put in a 220 volt plug outlet for the table saw plus 2 more 110 volts outlet. When they left I started putting everything back in place. Got to looking I decided to switch my Delta 12 1/2 planer and Delta 6 inch joiner around. Since I had re-arrange the tools few weeks ago, I knew I would need to re-work my so call dust system for the tools. Mostly just taking out one blast gate and moving the rest down one side about 1 foot so I could hook up the Grizzly 14 inch bandsaw and Grizzly table saw to the duct system. Then proceeded to attached the male and female plug to abt 10 ft 10 ga cord for the table saw. For some reason there a screw on the male plug just will not tighten. So I'm not able to test run the table saw tonight.    In the morning I'll go get another male plug and get it installed.   Wayne E Wayne E Got another male plug this morning and got it attached to the extension cord and plug the table saw. Dug into my pocket and [lace a nickel on the table saw surface. Cross my fingers and push the start button. Well guess what. It started and it purr like a kitten. We are up and running. Wayne E

January 22, 201214 yr Yesterday I drove down to the lumber yard and picked up 106 BF of 5/4 Beech for making the 10 frames for my church. It was a bit nerve racking transporting 11' boards out of my shorter bed truck, but I made it home without any issues of rain or law enforcement measuring the overhang out he back of my truck. So now it is all sitting on the floor of my garage ready for me to start things up on Monday morning.Allen WorshamCorona, CAallenworsham@earthlink.nethttp://www.awcreationsandwoodcrafts.com'Graze in every man's field, but always give your own milk' J. January 23, 201214 yr Author Got my ambient air filter finished this weekend. It has three filters on the intake and two filters on the out take side. Â Now I just need three good men to lift this thing up and mount it to the ceiling. As it turned out, this thing is heavy. I am glad to have it finished and ready to mount. January 23, 201214 yr Author Just as an update from last weekend. I also put together four glue up jigs for my cutting boards. I need to pick up some knobs for the top. Allen Worsham was my inspiration for these. Thanks Allen John MoodyJohn Moody Woodworkshttp://www.johnmoodywoodworks.com
January 23, 201214 yr good looking glue up jig. You and Allen did good!In use, do you clamp the bar across the work and then, tighten the nuts/knobs?Gene'The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him.' G. K. Chesterton
January 23, 201214 yr Author That is correct Gene. I usually pull it up with the clamps and then tighten the knobs. I thought I had enough knobs for these but I only had enough for one board. I will get some on order soon. Gene Howe said:good looking glue up jig. January 23, 201214 yr One of these days, I'll post pics my glue up method. I use pairs of Unistrut to level and pipe clamps to tighten. It ain't pretty and it's heavy as heck!  But, I use it just to make large edge glued slabs to face glue up for router bowls. Over kill, I'm sure, for cutting boards. Your's is a bit more elegant, for certain. Gene'The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him.' G. K. Chesterton
January 23, 201214 yr I got these cut Sunday, and will get all but the clock finished today. On the clock I need to design a base for it, just haven't settled on a shape. Greghttp://www.thesawdustfactory.net/
January 23, 201214 yr Author Elegant? I am not sure I would have put those in that category but thank you for the complement. Those are MDF with a laminate on top and they are pretty heavy. I was hoping if I waxed the laminate the glue would stick to it and make the cleanup a little easier.Gene Howe said: One of these days, I'll post pics my glue up method.
