One of our members needs our help

Featured Replies

Folks,

One of our members is applying for a grant to further her capabilities in supplying canes to wounded warriors- http://www.thepatriotwoodworker.com/profile/MeilieMoyHodnett?xg_source=activity.

We can assist her by "voting" for her business and putting her in the running for a grant. You can vote for her by going to www.missionsmallbusiness.com. When you get to the site, click on "Login and Support". The business name is Big Stick Canes. The state is Maryland and the city Gaithersburg.

She needs 250 votes by the end of the month to be considered for the grant. It doesn't cost us anything to vote and we will be providing the her with the opportunity to get our Wounded Warriors custom made canes.

Done! I hope she gets the grant. She should sign up on www.Lumberjocks.com and post the same thing she has on our humble site. There are literally tens of thousands of members on that site.

She is a long time member of LJ's already Mike.

OOPS! I posted an exert from her post on here in LJs. It probably doesn't hurt to have the exposure.

Not at all Mike! We are here to help!

Always think I'm trying to vote for the lessor of two evils. Anymore it is harder to tell which is which.

Hello Everyone!  I just wanted to stop by and thank you for your support and Vote!  Lots to do and lots to see and talk about, so keep up the great atmosphere here!

I appologize for not being around much but I've had to take care of my parents but things are starting to roll together smoothly and I am eager to get the wood workshop in full swing and go full steam ahead with providing canes to our wounded Veterans.  Life is good and if all goes well, will be really busy!

Done!

Lew or anyone, do you mind if I post this message on my Facebook Page? (Flag Cases By Walls) I have many folks who follow my business page and would also vote for this as well?

just let me know and I'll copy and paste the original message you posted above.

Thanks,

Russ

Can't speak for Meilie but she was OK with me posting it here (I did it before I told her about it). My guess is she will be glad for the votes.

Hello Everyone!  Keep up the EXCELLENT work!  I'm almost halfway there to get the minimum of votes!  But please, don't stop at 250, as it's a marketing concept as to how I can get my project and business off the ground.  If they see that I can get enough notice on this preliminary voting requirements, I will be considered in a better light than if only getting 250 or worst, NOT getting the required minimum.

So PLEASE VOTE!  It could mean a cane for hundreds, no, thousands of Veterans!  OR, none.  Your vote counts!

http://www.missionsmallbusiness.com, click on LOG IN & SUPPORT, search for BIG STICK CANES of Gaithersburg, MD and VOTE!

Thank you!

Mellie,
