July 20, 201214 yr comment_26616 Well, the grandkids have gone home after a week at Pappy's house and I just finished a new router table. I hung a new Bosch 1617 under it and was able to free up some wall space because I incorporated a slotted blade drawer. I needed the table to complete my next big project.  Building Nana new raised panel door kitchen cabinets.   Ron Dudelston Site Host Above and Beyond WoodWorks Report

July 20, 201214 yr Author comment_26642 Lew, when you mention "tall fence". I realized that I haven't yet checked the squareness of the fence. Hmmm, off to the shop. Ron DudelstonSite HostAbove and Beyond WoodWorks Report

July 20, 201214 yr comment_26636 John mentioned the dust collection. That's a neat coupling between the black hose and the PVC. How is that done?Lew Kauffman-Wood Turners Forum HostTime traveler. Purveyor of the world's finest custom rolling pins! Report
July 20, 201214 yr comment_26635 Fantastic job Ron. Looks like you worked out the little details and should enjoy this for many years to come. Wayne MahlerGod bless and protect our troops that serve so we can be free. Report
July 20, 201214 yr Author comment_26634 As for the dust collection, right now I have a 3 gallon pancake shop vac under the table that comes on when I start the router. If it won't keep up, the large D.C. is next to it. Lew, I'm guessing your're talking about the coupling just before the hose. That is a compression coupling I found at a plumbing store. Ron DudelstonSite HostAbove and Beyond WoodWorks Report

July 22, 201214 yr comment_26628 Ron, as I said sweat RT!I was just curious, is there a reason you opted for dust collection at the fence instead of utilizing the open box below?John MorrisThe Patriot WoodworkerProud Supporter of Wounded Warrior Project and Homes For Our Troops Report
July 22, 201214 yr Author comment_26627 After using it a couple of times and seeing the chips building below, I've asked myself the same question. On small projects I'll probabaly use it as is but since the DC is sitting next to it I think I'll close the back in and put a 4" port in.Ron DudelstonSite HostAbove and Beyond WoodWorks Report
July 22, 201214 yr comment_26626 Gotta question Ron.....What base did you use for the router and can you change bit height from the top?My job is to give my kids things to discuss with their therapist Report
July 22, 201214 yr comment_26625 Ron great looking table and I love all of the storage you put in there. I closed in the area below the router and have a port on the back. I put a door on the front with a plexiglas panel. It has three holes drilled through it near the bottom foe makeup air. When mine is on I pull from the top and the bottom. Great table and I really like the top and fence.John MoodySite AdministratorJohn Moody Woodworkshttp://www.johnmoodywoodworks.com Report
