August 24, 201214 yr comment_25039 Another thing that can make it "clunky" John, is the pictures we all so love to share, especially if the replies to a topic repeatedly load the same image. This is especially true for slower computers. While I am not advocating getting rid of using pictures, You may want to see if there is a way to eliminate the same image from loading when someone replies to a discussion that had an image in it. or even pruning discussions a bit more may help.
