November 12, 201213 yr Author I was so lucky yesterday. I was changing the halogen bulbs in the outside lights. I dropped one of the screws that holds the lens cover on. Dropped it about 20 feet in the flower bed with all the leaves. Got down from the ladder, moved one group of leaves and there was my little screw just shining. I felt so lucky, that thing could have been anywhere and buried in the bark. Sometimes you just get lucky! John MoodySite AdministratorJohn Moody Woodworkshttp://www.johnmoodywoodworks.com
November 12, 201213 yr Sounds like fate has it in for Luthiers, case makers and bulb changers. Ah well, new strings, design alterations and found screws make it all better, right?I'm amazed. The older I get the less SOME of these things bother me. There was a time when the air turned blue and windows were not safe from flying hammers.Gene'The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him.' November 12, 201213 yr Author I guess age has a way of tempering us Gene. I seem to remember those same times. Well I got on the porch swings yesterday. Got all of the support pieces rough cut to size and flattened on the joiner and all of the run through the planner. Sixteen bottom supports and sixteen back supports for four swings, pick up another order for one this past week. So working on all of them at the same time. Got to cut out five cutting boards today and get them finished for a show this coming weekend. Off to the shop, catch you all later!
