November 20, 201213 yr Yes! I was very busy this past weekend, you did not see me on here at all probably, did you miss me? In addition to getting the Maple Settee advanced, I got to spend some time on fairing and blending the rockers to the legs. This rocker is near completion, all it needs now is to be sanded out and finished, and it's ready for the gallery!
November 20, 201213 yr A beautiful rocker John. You do such a great job on those. I love to see the pictures and you bring it to life. They are so elegant and look like the have a story to tell. The walnut is great, I look forward to seeing it after the finish is applied. I know it is really going to pop then with the grain and the depth it show. Excellent job and glad you got to spend some quality time with it and of course you were missed around here, you are always missed when you aren't online.
November 22, 201213 yr A fine example of a true wood artist and his work. Thanks for sharing again and keep on sending those pictures. PS This work could be taken over by one of those computer cutter things and if it is they will call it "skilled woodworking" as they do now with other things they make by pushing a button and walking away. That irritates me, it is like a guy running a diagnostic on a car and calling him a master mechanic because he can hook it up and press "start"
November 22, 201213 yr Author Thank you for the kind comments guys. Ron, I hope they don't figure out how to duplicate a rocker on and computer! So you missed me John! thanks man. Thank you Ron, Gene, Harry!
