About This File

This is a scanned document of the now defunct Workbench Magazine of this era. Permission was granted by the new Workbench Publication for The Patriot Woodworker community to copy and use the old Workbench Magazine at our pleasure, and for free distribution and re-use.

If you’re looking for a project to use up some of those leftover wood scraps, give this one a try. None of the pieces are very large and the project takes but a few hours to build. The small globe is available at most stationery stores, or you may wish to substitute a small statuette or other item. Projects of simple design such as the book rack are most attractive made of one of the hardwoods such as walnut, teak or even zebrawood.
