Good Morning Friends,

I am going to try to post a picture to see if you can tell us what it is;C:\Users\Default User.DefaultUser\Pictures\2008

Well that didn't work and I couldn't drag the picture because the picture location covered this post.

Mornin' Ralph -

I thought I might be first to reply with a correct answer this morning...but without a picture, I'll have to wait.

Dave.

It appears the "jig is up" ...at least for now:lol:

@Wirebender   Good to see you posting again Dave.

Ralph, if you are using Windows, use the resize box (in the upper right hand corner) to reduce the window size so you can see the image

Let me try this again because Stick called and explained what I was doing wrong. However my PC won't let me slide the post over so I can see the pictures and vise versa.

I can name it without a pic: I'll say Malcolm!

steady rest...

so here's the picture

Ralph is trying to post...

Lathe Duplicator Cutter and Dial wheel 002.jpg

Ralph...

The method I use all the time, I rarely use drag n drop, just my preference. "Choose files" is a sure bet.

Looks like a Vampire Stake. By the way just drag to box below comments then double tap the pic to resize and change placement to left-center-right.

That was what I was going to say

Since it's Halloween, Gerald may have "pegged" it, but not knowing any better I'll venture a guess based on the picture and say some sort of caning peg?

I have seen a piece of wood like that used as a steady rest on the Tim Yoder show. Very neanderthal, but it worked.

Looks like a center punch for cut nails.

Herb

I think Stick has it.  Here is a picture of my bit.
