From the album: Box for a Stanley 45
With the lid opened, you can see how Stanley stored the cutters in this style of a box. The rest of the plane's parts all get stashed in the main compartment. Dividers sit in hand cut dados. I cut the two dados with a backsaw, then a narrow chisel to pop out the waste.
Not sure where that racing stripe in the grain came from, but it goes along with the rest of the fancy grain. I chose not to finish the insides...for now.
