This months What's It found at Tools and Trades History Society The tool is 11” long overall and stands 5 and ½” tall when clamped to a bench. The business end is 2 and ¼” diameter and consists of metal plates with saw teeth on the edges. The shape is a pointed cone and it is revolved by the wooden handle. The only markings are the word ACO stamped on both the column and the horizontal shaft. When the tool is turned the saw teeth would be presented side on to whatever it was guided into so would scrape not cut.

The tool with a 12 inch (30cm) ruler to give an idea of its size. The reverse side of the tool, perhaps this side creates a groove. Note the curve in the blade.

John, With the first official winner of the monthly MWTCA What's It contest, wouldn't it be cool for that person to have a special Avatar or designation affixed to their profile "snapshot" that appears next to their posts during the month following the selection? Sort of a traveling trophy if you will; maybe even two versions (1) for actual validated winner who identified the tool, then one for someone who is random draw winner... Then at the end of the year or January of following year, throw those 12 names (or whatever the number this year) into a hat, have a blind draw for one winner and that person wins something from the TPW Store or maybe a coffee mug from MWTCA or ???? Hope this all makes some kind of sense...Not sure how complicated the Avatar/ recognition line would be to create and move month-to-month...it is a way to give on-going recognition to both winners & MWTCA..
