Back story---I have 2 wood lathes & I'm pondering mounting both on the same moblie cart --back to back. So I'm contemplating making the cart about 2' deep & 3' wide. Height of cart is dependent on SWMBO's height. Probably about 28"" to the top of the cart. Offset drawers underneath. One lathe has a 10" swing the other a 12" swing.. I'm looking for advice/experience from the members for potential problems. One problem that has been raised by SWMBO is both of us simultaneously turning. I can't see that happening b/c we normally don't share the shop at the same time for sanity sake. She'll be turning mostly spindels, I'll be turning anything. Thoughts or comments???? thks smitty

I have been using 4" casters on the Big Green Egg tables we have been making. I found one at Lowe's that worked really good. the rolled really smooth, mounted easy and the priced was okay. But as it always seems, when you find a good product they discontinue it and the replacement caster Lowe's put in cost more. Well that sent me to the Internet looking for casters like I was using and I found a site called Caster City. I found they carried the exact same caster I was using so I made a call to them to see what options were available. I use two that just swivel and two that swivel and lock. I was transfered to a great technical person that was most helpful and spent a good bit of time with me on the options. after finding out how many I was using he set me up an account and a discount level so I can go online and order them when I need them and have them shipped to me and even at a cheaper price than I was paying. So if you are looking for casters for any project you are working on may I suggest you check out Caster City. This is the one that I use.
