A friend gave us about 30 larger candles and 12 of these candles in a glass but they sit low. So off to the shop I went and glued and cut up this block for a few nights. Added small piece of Corian to the top, it doesn't care if hot wax melts on it and it looks fancy so I went for it. The block started out as 3 1/2 inches square, as I turned it down I kept looking at it and decided it was just out of proportion and cut more down. The base is 5 inches and the top is 4 inches. Probably should have just done 2 1/2 inch square block. But hey, it was scrap we had extra. Used some scrap Poplar, Walnut, and Mahogany.

Made this for a friend of mine that worked with me in Iraq. Used some walnut, tigerwood and dogwood. The glassware is the bottom from my goblets project few weeks ago. I have a lot of them.
