Way too much effort.....and noise.  Look good though.   How much trouble was it to remove the saw marks?

    This was walnut so it sanded fairly easy. Oak, on the other hand, is a real bugger.

    I'll never have the skills you do, with the hand plane. I really envy the magic you do with them.
