Smallpatch

11 x 19" out of maple wood. Only power tool were used. An air brush was used to apply the color. dye stain and water base colors both was used. First time I ever carved a dragon and I did want a friendly type so I was being careful with the color I chose! When I sawed out the outside I was sawing through 1 3/4 maple and plywood so I used Olson #5 blades then I removed the backer board before I started sawing out the interior pieces and only had the 1 inch maple to saw in to 31 pieces and I used mostly flying dutchman# 3 and some #5's. Its very important to saw the pieces so they will slide together both directions when its time to apply the glue then put the screws in and if I don't pre drill the holes ahead of time lots of busted wood will have to be glued up before I can continue assembling this picture.
