This is what I ended up with. I cut it out with a 788 Dewalt. It measures 19x31". A little large for the 21" scroll saw to handle without a little effort. I'll explain how I did it some day!

It's all maple as is all the flower petals. The 4 little flowers holding the dial and lens on will unscrew to get to the hands if need be. The convex lens was ordered from somewhere?

The end completion looks nothing like what I was using to go by when I started. I was trying to find the original picture of a clock that gave me the thoughts but I think it went in the trash soon after I started sawing this thing out.

Many shades of stain was utilized. Each day I came in to the shop I would change my mind and add more color here and there never removing any that had been applied the days before....

My joy is never knowing what I will end up with.

Ditto! Love those flowers.

A flower making tutorial would be more than welcome, Jesse.

On the biggest flower, I first used the scroll saw and sawed out a 3 or 4" ring of maple that was 1" tall then used the scroll saw to cut out a rose petal then contoured it using the 1 x 42" belt sander. Then more grinding with the Dremel.

The ring is used to stand the petals up as the hot glue sets in. The ring is usually set down in the area so that part don't show, hopefully. I have never seen anyone who makes flowers and really don't care to for I might get pissed to see a real quick way to do the same thing.. My way or the highway don't inter in here but I'm still learning my way right now.

I brought this one in yesterday to use for the size and shape of the petals. Insert
