John Morris Administrator August 23, 20187 yr comment_2000 Report Author stats Exquisite, beautiful job Brian, how do you prevent the tools from catching the voids?
Big B Members August 23, 20187 yr comment_2001 Report Author stats Thank you John! It's really a matter of lathe speed and tool sharpness when working with these types of pieces. If you can safely spin it up to a point where your tool thinks its a solid piece then you can make the cuts. Of coarse light cuts with with a freshly sharpened tool works best. Don't just Jam it in there or you better be prepared for a show B
lew Administrator August 23, 20187 yr comment_2013 Report Author stats Awesome! Did you sand that on or off the lathe?
Big B Members August 23, 20187 yr comment_2014 Report Author stats Both on and off the lathe. Towards the rim it was hard to keep he sandpaper from catching on the edge. B
