Exquisite, beautiful job Brian, how do you prevent the tools from catching the voids?

Thank you John! It's really a matter of lathe speed and tool sharpness when working with these types of pieces. If you can safely spin it up to a point where your tool thinks its a solid piece then you can make the cuts. Of coarse light cuts with with a freshly sharpened tool works best. Don't just Jam it in there or you better be prepared for a show ;) B

Both on and off the lathe. Towards the rim it was hard to keep he sandpaper from catching on the edge. B
