River Birch spalted

Had a log of river birch in the yard and was in no hurry till one of the club members showed me some spalted. The log was almost too far gone and had a lot of sanding.

Gerald, looking through all your new uploads, and beautiful they are (someday, I hope a piece of wood comes off my lathe that is as beautiful as these here), I have an off subject question, do you photograph your own work, and if so, how?

I was wondering if you would be willing to open up a new topic about photographing work? Just a suggestion. This is one subject I have always been interested in, but just never seem to find enough about it.

Yes I do the photography. Although not an expert will help any way I can.

Love the spalting.  Curious how you sealed it for finishing.
