Very nice work Dale. I'm thinking about trying some carving myself. I do some walking or hiking sticks from dead standing cedar trees and would like to carve some heads or faces on them.

Thank you Charles!. Walking sticks are cool. Dremel tools with saburr bits are good for that and fine detail. I use them for even big carvings. Also a good ole sanding disk on a grinder is good for smoothing etc. A die grinder with saburr bits or even harbor freight rasps work awesome for fast remove. They smoke a bit but..... goodknock down tool. I have tons of tools to revert to if needed. Sometimes its better than a chchainsaw. Chainsaw does all my blocking out first though. If I can use the chainsaw I will right away.

Dale I just bought a small carvers kit for my dremel. Now it"s just getting some ideas some nerve and remembering some old drawing skills for getting the proper scale and proportions and, yes I have a straight and right angle die grinders but no carving burrs yet. That is something I'll have to work on. Thanks for the info.
