Feb 4 - What wonderous things got finished this past weekend

Featured Replies

Other than the ones of us that watched the "Super Bowl" (I confess that I did NOT watch), what got finished over the weekend.

For me, I got a couple of things done and got some work done on other projects but have not downloaded the pictures yet.

I KNOW that projects got completed - let us see them.

I do the foot of the platters first, then fish them off when the foot dries.

Lew, what are the dimensions of your wine glass holders? I made a prototype yesterday that is 3x9.5, it works ok but I'm thinking I might want them a bit bigger.

I got a few things finished and more started. Stay tuned for pictures. Been a long day and I'm about to head to the homestead.

Greg,

The overall dimensions are 4" x 11". The glass stem holes are 4" either side of center hole. I used that spacing based on the largest wine glasses we had in the cupboard.

Finished?  Nope.  Started? Yep.  I have begun a corner computer/craft desk for my daughter/grand-daughters.

Fred, here's what I got started.  This  computer/craft station desk will have an oak corner shelf unit on top.  The side to the right of the shelves will be the computer side and the computer and monitor will hide behind a set of doors.  The other side is a craft side and there will be a set of shelves hidden by doors there.   The whole thing will have an oak stain and polyed.   Check out the extra sorage underneath.  The unit is made to disassemble just at the oak shelves.      Ah what we won't do for our kids/grandkids.

Ron - great pix - easily dissasembled?  Makes it much easier to get out of and in doors that are too small.  Will be looking forward to seeing progress.
