A Preliminary Notice Regarding Our "Show Your Projects" Department

Featured Replies

We would like to encourage all our members once again to go back and edit your photos to include a title  and a description of your Project Photo.

We will be going through the photos and purging photos that don't have a title and brief description. This is not punishment folks! But we have seen a few members in the past load up their photos to our site and use it for a kind of storage area for their pics. We need to avoid this, as our site is not to be used as a back up or storage for your photos. Hopefully we can alleviate this practice by requiring a title and description. This will prevent misc uploads, and uploads "just because we can" type of uploads. We love your project photos, but we need to cut down on the practice of uploading 30 at a time with absolutely no titles or descriptions.

So in order to control this process, we are limiting 10 uploads a day for our members just until we can get a handle on the photo department. We want the photo department to be a "Show Off" for your projects and please give us some words about the project and a good title, and tag the photo as well. This way we can find the photo by a simple search word. If the photos are titled, then we can plug in the search word, Table, and we'll be able to find all photos with tables in it! Pretty cool huh?

Keep the photos coming! We love em, but please post them to show off, and post them with a title and a description.

For those who are not too sure how to go about editing your current pics to add a title and description, I will post a "How To" later today on this process.

We do appreciate your cooperation and we are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Ok it appears that I was guilty somewhat for not always adding details to some of my images. That has now been corrected. Good thing I didn't have a lot of them yet :). I even deleted a few that were basically side views of another image and were not really important.

If anyone has difficulty figuring out how to edit the details of images or tags, you can ask me as well. That's one of the many things I am here for. Have a great day all.

Charles, I am sure I have some in there too! No finger pointing here, just a matter of factual request, if we all police up our own images, the area will be much easier to use and locate projects. Let's all work together on this.

No i knew there was no finger pointing :) I was just pointing out that I was guilty too :) it was actually rather fun to go back over the old images and see what was there :)

Between projects that i need to work on this weekend, I'll be around to help anyone that needs it.

Later all. :)
