Well here we are once again folks, finding us at the beginning of a new month, and my how fast these months are ticking away on us! It seems like we just announced our Featured Member of the Month Allen Worsham a week ago!

During the month of June we also featured the Laguna Resaw King Bandsaw Blade. As it was donated by Laguna to our Featured Member of the Month. And this month we have a new member to feature, and a new tool!!!

Rick Parks and Mrs. Parks.

It is with great pride and honor that we have come up with our July Featured Member of the Month, Rick Parks.

Rick Parks of Oak Grove Kentucky is a retired Army man, he served in the Air Cavalry and served our country in Afghanistan. After he retired from service he opened up his own business building military display cases and displays for mounting memorabilia and other arts and crafts at Dakota Heirloom Woodworking. Rick's wife Mariah is serving our country as well and is still under orders from Uncle Sam in the great State of Kentucky. So for now Rick is following the orders handed down to Mrs. Parks, and they move as needed, from mission to mission. Currently where they reside Rick has opened up shop, and he is dug in for now, until further orders come down.

We are featuring Rick for the month of July for his extraordinary work with his local church and a cause very near and dear to our heart, he is volunteering and donating to The Fisher House. A home away from home for the families of our troops who are hospitalized. Often times the families would need to rent a motel room in order to stay near their troops while they are receiving their medical procedures, but because of The Fisher House's facilities going up around our country near our military hospitals, the families can stay free of charge while their service member is getting the help they need to get well. I spoke with Rick on the phone, and he is obviously a dedicated Patriot of our country, giving of self without asking anything in return, and he is highly active in his local community via his work in church and again, The Fisher House.

Rick also donates his professionally made Challenge Coin Displays and Awards Plaques when and where needed. In a nut shell, Rick encompasses what our Featured Member of the Month is all about, giving of self in his local community, and reaching out to those in need.

Great job Rick Parks!!!! And for your dedication to your causes, Bessey Tools North America has agreed to send to you some really nice clamps and accessories!!!! So not only do we have a featured member of the month, but we have a featured tool of the month as well!
