1st try at compound cuts

Featured Replies

My first try at compound cutting. It was a lot of fun! The new scroll saw cut right thru it.

Now I have to cut more (ice skating snowmen & trees) for Christmas presents.ning-compoundcut-8748-81.jpg?width=750ning-compoundcut1-8748-93.jpg?width=750

Very kewl, Harry.  Have always enjoyed doing those compound projects because you never know what's going on in the middle of the wood until you take it apart.

Beth and I were picking up Chestnut out of her mom's yard. All I could think of was, "Chestnuts roasting on an open fire, Jack Frost nipping at your nose...

The Reindeer are on the "hit" list to try today, among others.

We have a "winter weather watch" for the next couple of days so I can keep inside and play with these.

Nice job on the 3d. They are fun to cut. There is a penguin 3d in one of her books that I like cutting and they sell great. Glad you like your new saw. I have a type 1 788 and wouldn't give it up for anything.

Thanks Rick. That new De Walt 788 is so nice. Having to learn all over again. No pushing to the side to follow a straight line. It sure has put the fun into scrolling.

hate to say it but they are straight cuts not compound cuts

Glad you were able to get through to my site. I had not notice the misspelling until you pointed it out. I will fix it. Thank you for the kind words.

Good job harry. Love they way they they look. Compound cuts are fun, and once you open them up it is always interesting to see the results.
