Fun little project.
Woods used; Background-Australian Lacewood, White- Holly, Pink-African Pink Ivory, Green-Argentinian Lignum Vitae, Limb-Peruvian Walnut, Black- Gabon Ebony,Yellow- SA Pau Amarillo.

Nice work as always Mike. Thanks for sharing.

It looks like it was fun, are you also doing the laser work? If so what did you use? Thanks for putting it up here Mike!

That is one real nice piece of work, Mike. I'll bet the parents love it and little Violet's going to cherish it, too.

Thanks for the comments guys. This was a fun little project.

To John-- I sub the laser engraving out to Custom Engraving and Signs here in Richmond. The man does a great job and is very reasonable in price.

Forgive my ignorance Mike, when you laser onto wood, does it burn in image or text on the wood, or is more of a flush print surface?

John-The laser actually burns the image into the wood( approx 1/64th" deep) with incredible accuracy.

That's cool Mike, I'd love to be able to do my own laser work. :)

That's awesome Mike, gives it a sense of quality too with the depth burned in like that, that is really cool.
