John Moody Posted April 11, 2014 Report Posted April 11, 2014 I am hitting the busy part of the show season for me so it is busy in the shop every chance I have. Monday night it was time to make cheese board blanks so I can get them cut this weekend into 16 boards. I can get four cheese board out of each of these blanks. Last night I was gluing up blanks for Bread Dipping Trays. I can get 10 Bread Boards out of those five blanks. They should also get finished this weekend. Now if all goes good, I should get five cutting board blanks cut and glued this weekend also and they will be ready to make the other glue up on Sunday and then sanding first of the week. I have First Friday on the first of May, the very next day I have been invited to a HGTV fund raiser and they gave me a booth. Two weeks later I have a two day show and then two weeks after than First Friday and then a frontier days show at one of the Civil War Museums. After that, I am taking a break and having my right knee replaced. So what is on your Patriot Woodworker agenda this weekend. Are you finishing a project, starting a new project, building jigs, cleaning the shop, getting ready for grass mowing season or spending the weekend relaxing? We here at TPW would like to know and see your projects so tell us what you have going in your shop this weekend. Quote
John Moody Posted April 11, 2014 Author Report Posted April 11, 2014 I hope she gets better. Praying for you and your mom. Quote
Charles Nicholls Posted April 11, 2014 Report Posted April 11, 2014 Looks like you have your hands full there John. For me, I am still working on that cherry bowl, trying to get the last few scratches out of it. It's been a pain but it's almost done. After that I have some pens to make, one of which is by request. Have a great weekend everyone. Quote
Gene Howe Posted April 11, 2014 Report Posted April 11, 2014 Lew, Sorry your mom is sick. Hope she gets to feeling better soon. First on the agenda this weekend is poking holes in a batch of wood blocks to hold things like nail sets, centering drill bits, countersinks, and the like. Up till now, they've been loose in a drawer. Then, probably a device for various tape rolls. And finally, I'll get started on a couple box jointed six packs for my BIL, the home brewer. Quote
Ron Dudelston Posted April 11, 2014 Report Posted April 11, 2014 Finishing up 8 sets of pegs and jokers. That and birthday parties. Quote
