I made every rookie mistake I could on this one. This is the larger of the two bowls I cored. Made a funnel out of it. I flattered the bottom and glued another piece on. Turned the smaller one while the glue was drying. Turned this one today. Not a great save but better than having a hole in the bottom.

Stuff happens!

We all do it once in a while. Grandad always the person that never makes a mistake is the one not doing a darn thing, or something like that. Nice save and like was already said if you would have been quiet nobody would have ever noticed😁

We all have been there and likely will be again. I was a union carpenter and among carpenters there is an old adage. "If you make a mistake you can't fix, make it a detail". Nice detail on that foot!
