23 hours ago23 hr comment_379716 I went to Drew Langner's shop back in the '80s for a "Make a Chair From a Tree" workshop. He had a couple of Japanese tool boxes on the shop shelf. When I got home, I made a couple, then used them to store all my Shaker box jigs and hardware. Still have them. Made mine from 1/2" poplar. I put a till in one to hold some small tools.A friend made some fancy ones for his grandkids (I think he has about 6 or 8 of them)I see you can buy them on Etsy from $30 to $685. The expensive one is made from quarter-sawn sycamore, the cheap from 3/4" Home Depot pine. Report
