August 4Aug 4 comment_379633 Ok folks. I’m in the market for a new router table lift and I need to know what you have and what you think about it. Report
August 4Aug 4 comment_379637 I've had 2 Woodpeckers lifts. The first was for a plunge router i used for maybe 10 years or so, then I bought a used PRL and have used it since. That was probably 15 years ago. But my router is showing signs of aging (Milwaukee 5625) and it's now discontinued. Since it has a wierd body diameter so I can't get another router to fit the lift I have. So I may be looking shortly for one myself. I will give the Jessum a good look because I've read so many threads where it was highly praised. But when all's said and done I will most likely stick with woodpeckers. Report
August 4Aug 4 Popular Post comment_379640 I have the Jessem (replacement for a Triton system that stopped working). Really like the Jessem. Much better than prior system. Fit into the table I had and I built out the stand so I have great dust collection plus a drawer for storage. Edited August 4Aug 4 by BB1 Report
August 4Aug 4 Popular Post comment_379645 And I found the Jessem customer service very helpful in both the purchase and later with a setup question. I had a very bad experience with trying to get assistance with another tool (not Jessem!) where only email was used and they avoided answering simple questions, with no option to talk with anyone. Since that situation, I have started to call companies to see if I can speak with a person prior to major purchases. One of the reasons I went with Jessem in addition to the positive reviews. Report
August 5Aug 5 comment_379660 I replaced my homemade router table with the JessEm lift, I believe @Gene Howe recommended. I bought the model that accepts the Bosch router. Ron, there is nothing cheap about this lift, strong machined parts and precise. I enjoy using mine and in the 5 or so years I've owned it I have yet to find a flaw. 5 stars from me. Report
August 5Aug 5 comment_379663 I have the JessEm lift and would buy it again. I have the Milwaukee 5625 in it, and like Fred said, it's now discontinued. Danl Report
August 5Aug 5 comment_379676 I have a Bosch 1617 router in my router table. With an allen wrench thru the top, it has small amounts of adjustments, and larger adjustments by clicking the depth stop adjuster. Works for me. Report
August 5Aug 5 Author comment_379683 I was flipping across Amazon and I saw a lift from O’Skool. Reviews are pretty solid. Anybody have one? Report
