July 3Jul 3 Popular Post comment_378380 Guess we will have a house full of company for Saturday's fireworks display as the local municipality sets up the displays about 200 feet from our back yard. I did get the picnic table repaired/rebuilt for the outdoor festivities. First built back in the early 90's after seeing "Norm" make one. Report
July 3Jul 3 Popular Post comment_378381 I thought I'd mow and trim today. I'm not a yard nazi, but I always try to get things fixed up for the holidays, more out of respest for the holiday than anything else. But it's just too hot to try to do anything outside....so my plan is to stay in somewhere air conditioned and out of the heat. Report
July 3Jul 3 Popular Post comment_378382 We normally stay home for the 4th, maybe it will be cool enough to sit on the porch & watch the neighborhood fireworks, city fireworks have been cancelled due to threats of heavy storms. Heat has slowed down the grass so it can wait till Tuesday. Have a safe holiday. Report

Been down from the heat way too many times...and them IV Needles are HUGE....I'll just stay inside, and sit in front of that fan... Report
July 3Jul 3 Popular Post comment_378387 I've been working on a coffee table for our Den. I've now made the drawers. Bought lumber yesterday for the tops. I stickered it. The moisture is too high at 19%. Too much humidity driving the Equilibrium Moisture Content (EMC).Meanwhile I'm working on the Tambour stiles that will be on each side like my footstool. July 3Jul 3 Popular Post comment_378393 Work continues on the miter saw stand (so slow 🐌). Doors cut to rough size. And walnut cut into strips for edge banding.Used a thin strip jig I picked up on a holiday sale and it worked good. Will still run all the strips through the drum sander after my husband gets some trim he painted out of the shop. Garage update continues as well. Painted and picked up some flooring that we likely will try to get installed in the upcoming days as the rolls are long and heavy...and in the way! Adding trim that my husband has been priming/painting before install. Report
